About Holland Colours
Holand Colours produces colors and additives with more then 100 million EURO sales and 400 employees world wide. Holland Colours was initially founded in 1979 by a group of Dutch pigment experts who wanted to eliminate the use of dusty pigments in the plastics industry. Their innovative spirit resulted in a breakthrough product that ultimately revolutionized the market. Holcobatch® was the first colorant product to encapsulate pigments and additives using a renewably sourced carrier instead of a polymer. This was unique at the time and it remains so today, making Holcobatch® a truly sustainable colorant.
The largest development center and production site is located in The Netherlands (Apeldoorn) with further production sites in Hungary, China, Indonesia and the USA. Key Brands for plastics
Holcobatch® is a highly dispersed micro granule (0,4 mm) based on bio-based carrier. It was the first colorant using a renewably sourced carrier instead of a polymer. Low melting point and small particles enable quick color release, creating uniform color distribution at extreme low dosing levels. Ideal solution for coloring of EPS, PC, PET, PMMA, PVC, PVC Stabilizer, Waxes and Wood Plastic Composites.
Holcoprill is a cylindrical granulate based on a bio-based carrier and showing a low melting point. Holcoprill is highly concentrated and is designed for use at high dosing levels for transparent and opaque colors. Suitable for coloring of ASA, PC, PET, PMMA, and PVC.
Holcopearl is a highly dispersed granule based on bio-sourced and polymeric carrier. Low melting point offers smooth processing, uniform colouring and lower dosing levels compared to masterbatches. Holcopearl is suitable for coloring of ABS, ASA, PE, PP, PET, PMMA, PVC, PS, SAN, WPC and XPS.
Holcoplast is a highly concentrated and fully dispersed plasticizer based liquid colorant that can be used with several types of plasticizers, depending on your application. High color strength with excellent hiding power or beautiful transparancy. We can offer colors based on DIDP, DINP, DOP, DINCH, DEP, DOTP or FDA approved polymeric plasticizers such as Polymix and Uraplast.
Dazzle is specifically developped for the PVC flooring market, there are no other products like this. Pure glitter pigments are being used, but not in an easy-to-handle format like Holland Colours’. And one advantage to the Dazzle range is that you can mix the different effects and colors with each other. This enables you to realize endless creative possibilities in an easy way. Try and mix several effects together and see what comes out!
Key Brands for packaging
Holcopet 263 serie is a liquid colorant that enables extreme low dosing for transparant colors and provides significant economic advantages compared to masterbatch. Quick color release results in excellent distribution of colorant and additive with dosing levels starting from 0,02% upto 1% maximum. Holcopet is thermally stable so it will not burn during the process and you won’t experience problems with “black spots” in your preforms, bottles or sheet.
LightGuard provides UV protection against the degradation of nutrients and vitamins in packaged food, such as juice. It also guards against the degradation of beer, where exposure to light (both UV and visible) can lead to the undesirable 'light-struck' effect, resulting in off-flavors. Additionally, LightGuard offers protection against the degradation of colorants in detergents, dishwashing liquid, hair oil, and similar products.
Lightguard RGB OXN offers light protection in the UV and visible region and allows an optimal performance of commercially available oxygen scavenger solutions used in PET packaging. The light barrier, in combination with the oxygen scavenger solution, prevents the formation of 3-methylbut-2-ene-1-thiol (MBT). MBT is known to cause the light struck off taste in beer.
TasteGuard protects the taste of premium mineral water, because it catches the naturally occurring acetaldehyde (AA) that can affect the taste of the non-sparkling water during PET production and processing. TasteGuard was specifically tested to prevent yellowing in the recycling process. It is a solid so you will have no sedimentation which means stable dosing during processing.
TintMask neutralizes the yellow or green tint that is common to recycled PET. TintMask products have been designed for use in PET and are in regulatory compliance with EU and FDA directives. TintMask colorants will not migrate or sublimate in a high vacuum process and they are available in liquid and solid formats.
Sort allows automated recycling system to properly identify black plastics. Convential black colored plastics aren’t traceable in the recycle stream so endup as waste in the nature. The Sort black pigment can be automatically identified and offers the same beauty and depth of color as carbon black without the recycling headaches.
Markit offers color solutions for laser marking without the need for additives. Optimal lasermarking results can be achieved with our MarkIt range and Videojet 7000 Fiber Series. With Markit the top layer is not damaged, no migration issues into food and suitable for PET, RPET, PO/PS and PVC.
Holcomer offers great-looking white monolayer PET bottle that blocks 100% UV radiation and up to 99.9% of visible light. This means that UHT and ESL milk will be preserved just like multilayer and carton packaging while reducing production costs and waste. UHT and ESL milk can be packed in monolayer PET bottles which offers you freedom to design bottle in any shape and color.
Holcoslip for PET reduces the crucial Coefficient of Friction (COF) that is the main cause of scratching and damage during preform production. Lowering the COF ensures the preforms release more easily from the preform cavities, and also significantly reduces the incidence of scratching and scuffing as they drop into the octabin with 10% higher filling capacity.
FastHeat is created to decrease blowing time and energy consumption and assist in the recyclability of your bottles. The FastHeat additive increases the infrared light absorption of the PET bottle preforms. This decreases the residence time in the oven and therefore lowers overall energy usage and higher output when compared to processing without it.
Frost is an innovative additive for PET bottles to achieve a high-end, frosted look from bottom to top. Frost delivers a truly enhanced look and feel which creates that desirable, frozen appearance with a very touchable matte finish in any color you like. This product is ideal for creamy, oily and high-alcohol applications. Holland Colours can customize Frost colors to match any branding.
Key Brands for sealants
Holcoflex is a linear non reactive plasticizer (non-phtalate) based colorant. It is treated to reduce the moisture content in order to increase shelf-life significantly. It is also available in blending colors. Holcoflex is mainly used for polyurethane sealants, MS-polymer sealants, polysulfide sealants, and other organic sealants. Holcoflex can also be used as a phthalate-free color paste for flexible PVC.
Holcosil IP is a non-reactive PDMS silicone 100/1000 based colorant for the coloring of silicon sealant compounding (RTV-1). It is suitable for batch-mix, continuous and dispensers.
Holcosil NS is a reactive hydroxy terminated PDMS colorant designed for natural stone and heat stable applications. It can be used for batch-mix and dispenser processing.
Holcolex A is a highly dispersed and concentrated water-based colorant which meets requirements of acrylic sealants.

Holcopearl is a highly dispersed granule allowing clean, fast and flexible and efficient method of white paint production with superior batch consistency. The Holcopearl allows you create larger batches in a fraction of the time. One of the top 5 coatings manufacturers in the world went from producing 500 liters in 4 hours, to 2000 liters in 1,5 hours.
Holcolac CC 296 serie is a highly concentrated liquid colorant which is specially developed to color SILRES® BS 6920 to be used for concrete floors in industrial, commercial and private residential buildings. Our colorants are fully dispersed so it will not interfere with the hardening process of the end system. Inert to the hardening system is necessary to prevent early or delayed polymerisation of the total system resulting in either cracking or sticky floor coatings. Silres is applied as multilayer where only one layer is coloured so full dispersion results in maximum colorstrenght, excellent hiding power and cost savings due to lower dosing levels.
